About this service
The Forest Avenue Residential program serves youth (10-18 years of age) with a dual diagnosis and is part of the service array available through the Children with Complex Needs Program (CCNP).
The program objective is to develop and support the capacity of youth to reside within their own family homes.
Respite service is available to youth residing in their homes whose families require additional support to maintain the youth within the family home. This respite service is structured to be planned, regular, and consistent. The level, frequency and intensity of the service is matched as best as possible to the family need and based on current circumstances.
The team can call on an array of clinical resources, including a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Occupational Therapist, FASD consultant, Clinical Assessments and Measures, and Complex Needs consultant.
