About this service
Funded by the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development, the Pre Apprenticeship Welding Program is a collaboration between JHS, Elizabeth Fry Society of Southwestern Ontario, St. Leonards Society Hamilton and Mohawk College. The program was designed to support federally- and provincially-sentenced individuals to gain employment skills supported by the local labour market. It includes a pre employment/ life skills component, pre-apprenticeship welding training and a paid employment placement.
