About this service
Nursing Care Centres (NCCs) are for patients and families who need nursing care. NCCs offer convenient access to nursing care services providing them with the flexibility to schedule appointments in advance around their daily activities. There is usually minimal or no wait time to receive care/treatment, in order to ensure as little disruption as possible to a patient's normal routine.
Only people who live within the HNHB LHIN region can receive care at a nursing care centre. Much like all LHIN services, nursing care centres are staffed by registered nurses with no physicians onsite. Nursing care centres do not accept walk-in patients all appointments are scheduled in advance between the patient and nursing care centre.
