Helping Newcomers Settle in School
YMCA Settlement Workers are qualified to facilitate your integration into the local education system and community.
The SWIS program:
- Offers settlement support and referrals to school and community resources
- Encourages relationship building with school staff and fellow students and will facilitate this process for you
- Helps you understand how the Hamilton school system works
If you're a parent, SWIS will engage and encourage you to participate in your child's education.
