About this service
Taking Charge is a Diabetes Education Program that is offered to people living with diabetes or people who may be at risk of developing diabetes. The program is offered one day a week for a period of 8 to 10 weeks and may include workshops, health activities, short excursions, guest speakers and other activities. Taking Charge Diabetes Education Program is organized by a health provider who uses the most recent information and best practices to provide the best possible diabetes management for the people attending the program. The program is designed to help adults with diabetes learn how to better manage their diabetes and improve their overall health.
