About this service
At Good Shepherd Womens Services, we strive to provide a place of safety and support for women and children.
Half of all women in Canada report that they experienced at least one incident of physical or sexual violence since the age of 16. In the Hamilton area, Good Shepherd Womens Services is often the first place they turn. We provide a sanctuary for women and their children dealing with abuse, violence, homelessness, poverty and mental illness. They also receive counselling, safety planning, health care and housing services.
