First Place Hamilton is owned and operated by CityHousing Hamilton (CHH). CHH provides affordable housing that is safe, well maintained, cost effective and that supports the diverse needs of our many communities.
Through CHH, First Place Hamilton is able to offer 230 independent living residents financial assistance in the form of subsidy. Applications for subsidy can be obtained from First Place Hamilton, but are received and managed by Access to Housing (ATH).
ATH is the point of access for people who want to apply for subsidized housing in the Hamilton area. They maintain a centralized waiting list for more than 11,000 units across the City and work with a network of providers to help find housing for those in need.
