About this service
Our Violence Against Women (VAW) program offers support to women who have been exposed to abuse and violence within a non-judgmental, inclusive environment in which they can increase their knowledge and understanding of abuse, and explore the options, resources and supports available.
How we can help
The purpose of the program is to respond to the needs of women who have experienced abuse through:
- Individual and group counselling
- Support women in increasing their knowledge and awareness regarding the dynamics of abuse, its impacts, loss of self-esteem, difficulties in parenting and in all other relationships, addictions, sleep disorders, and debilitating fears and anxieties.
Eligibility: Our services are available to women, aged 16 years and older, who identify themselves as having been sexually, physically, or emotionally abused by their partners or significant others. This could include a non-parent caregiver or immediate family or household member.
