About this service
Project Lifesaver is a service offered by some local police services. It is a bracelet that is worn by a person at risk of wandering. The bracelet transmits a radio signal that can be detected by a tracking device. Should a person wander off, the police are contacted immediately. Police have the tracking equipment to commence an efficient and quick search. Past incidents have shown that over 2,845 clients have been safely returned home due to the success of Project Lifesaver International. The overwhelming community support for this program enabled the purchase of bracelets that will be available to anyone meeting the criteria.
