About this service
The Halton Hills Public Library offers a variety of programs and materials that introduce children to S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, arts and math). Our programs are hands-on and often use special equipment. We present new technologies in a casual and fun way.
Some of our past programs include:
Mini-Makers: Kids 6-8 years old explore S.T.E.A.M. using fun elements like snap circuits, clay, or construction materials.
Lego robotics: Kids learn how to assemble a motorized LEGO robot. They will learn how to program it and will solve weekly challenges. For kids 10-13.
S.T.E.A.M. Story Time: Stories, music and some hands-on science for families with young children.
Robo Geek: Python: We've partnered with Robo-Geek from Milton to provide this program. Kids will learn about python coding, electronics, and robotics. For kids 8-14.
