About this service
The Teen Transitional Life Skills Program is for young adults with physical disabilities, age 16 to 21, who are transitioning from childrens services to adult services. The program works with the participants to improve their independence and self-reliance and help them build on the skills they have attained in school and with their families. The program teaches the participants to direct their own care, set goals for themselves, manage their money, learn to access the community independently, perform household tasks, and learn what steps need to be taken in order to prepare for living in their own apartment.
