About this service
The Canadian Hard of Hearing Association, Sudbury Branch currently offers Levels 1 and 2 of Speech Reading. Each level consists of 10 classes that are each about 2 hours long. They are generally run weekly for 10 weeks or twice a week for 5 weeks. There is no fee. And be prepared to have some fun! Those who have taken our speech reading classes are pleasantly surprised to find there is much more going on than just speech reading. Over the duration of the classes a wealth of information on other communication strategies are covered. These topics include listening in difficult situations, telephones, assistive listening devices, hearing aids and much more. Speech reading classes are fun and a wonderful opportunity to meet others with hearing loss.
