About this service

This unit is designed specifically for children and adolescents who, as a result of a situational crisis or psychiatric illness, are acutely ill and require short-term hospitalization. Admission to this unit is on the recommendation of a psychiatrist or by their designate. Family members are encouraged to take part in the assessment and treatment planning for their child or adolescent.
