About this service
CYAC is a youth-led Council that brings the voice of young people to the Police Chief on issues that are important to youth in the City of Greater Sudbury and creates a bridge of understanding between the youth and members of the service. CYAC Responsibilities: Provide input on the GSPS Youth Strategy Advise on how GSPS can engage young people to find solutions to youth issues Bring forward information on issues/barriers to police/youth relations Suggest how to recruit future GSPS members in order to be reflective of our diverse community Provide information for the CYAC webpage and social media content Organize events to support the Courage to Stand message Recommend initiatives, events and programs for the Chief's Youth Initiative Fund Participate, if personal time and commitment allows, in other GSPS events related to children and youth
