Augmentative and Alternative Communication Alberta Family Camp! August 26 - 28, 2022 This is a weekend family day camp (not overnight camp) for children and youth aged 6-19 years, who use robust augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and their families. During this camp they enjoy fun camp activities, while they practice communicating with others. Camp activities include interactive games, music and more, all designed to: Enhance campers' social communication skills Provide opportunities for campers to communicate and build friendships with each other Offer training and networking opportunities for parents and siblings What: Augmentative and Alternative Communication Camp Alberta (AAC Camp Alberta) Where: Rundle Family Centre, Alberta When: August 26 - 28, 2022 For: Children and youth 6 - 19 years old who use robust AAC systems and their families. * Robust AAC systems include speech-generating devices and PODD books. * Campers must own an AAC system device to participate. Cost: Early bird fee (before April 29) $100 per family up to three people. Each additional person is $30. Regular fee (April 30 onwards) $120 per family up to three people. Each additional person is $40.
