Accessible transportation

SEAT program - This program is a support service that provides non-emergency transportation to medical appointments. Transportation is provided to individuals who meet the eligibility criteria by paid drivers using a wheelchair accessible van. The service is available Monday to Friday. If an on-going medical treatment or a medical apt can only be booked after hrs, arrangements may be made to accommodate the appointment if the driver and resources are available. This service is available to residents residing in the Municipalities of French River, St Charles, and Markstay/Warren. The Municipalities of French River, St.-Charles and Markstay-Warren, alongside the Warren and District Lions Club and Univi Health Centre have proudly partnered to offer its residents a transportation service to medical appointments. This service, called The Sudbury-East Accessible Transportation Program (SEAT), provides accessible, equitable and timely access to health related appointments to residents residing in Sudbury-East. IMPORTANT NOTES: The vehicle is accessible. The service is available Monday to Friday and rides are scheduled according to the appointment time, location and driver availability. If an on-going medical treatment or medical appointment can only be booked after hours, arrangements may be made to accommodate the appointment if the driver and resources are available. Clients are asked to schedule 5 business days prior to the appointment day. All rides must be booked during office hours Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am 4:30 pm. Cancellations must be made within 48 hours of the trip.
