About this service
Peer supports, advocacy and referral services - Priority is to assist individuals at risk of and/or exposed to family violence by providing access to the following supports:
- Crisis intervention & safety planning;
- Advocacy and referral supports;
- Access to food bank for emergency situation/assistance
- Education around healthy and unhealthy relationships
- Prevention of family violence and improving Aboriginal healing and wellness
- Increase community awareness about family violence and promoting Aboriginal healing and wellness by providing the following information and services: Womens Healing Circles, Men's Sharing Circles, community awareness of key campaigns, community events and activities that support Aboriginal healing and wellness, violence-free lifestyles, addiction-free activities, positive parenting, family interaction and cultural awareness, Kanawayhitowin Taking Care of Each Others Spirit and Strong Women's Circle
