About this service
The Seven Generations Rekindling The Fire Language Program is designed and delivered by the Fort Erie Native Friendship Centre and funded by Canadian Heritage and First Nations Confederacy of Cultural and Education Centres.
The program shall host virtual language learning Zoom meetings and teaching workshops to the Fort Erie Native Friendship Centre
membership and Indigenous community of the Niagara Region in the following languages:
- On^yonta'a:ka (Oneida)
- Kanyen'kha (Mohawk)
- Gayogho:n (Cayuga)
- Anishnaabemowin (Ojibwe)
The program may also try to deliver as many additional Indigenous languages as possible such as:
- Onodagega (Onondaga)
- Skarr (Tuscarora)
- Onndowa'ga:' (Seneca)
