About this organization
Meals on Wheels Fort Erie was founded in 1971 by a group of 6 ladies from various churches in Fort Erie and served 7 clients to start out. Today, 140 volunteers serve over 17,000 meals each year. Hot and/or frozen, nutritionally balanced meals are delivered to eligible individuals over the noon hour. This service also serves to provide a security check and some social contact for homebound people. We help to ease the worry of family members who may not be able to visit every day.
