About this service
The objective of the Mental Wellness Team is to increase the capacity for emergency responses to social crisis within the communities. The Mental Wellness Team (MWT) plans to improve access to mental wellness services and create linkages for the communities with new and existing service providers in their area. The MWT aims to strengthen the communities level of training, knowledge and response plans for when social crisis occurs. The training offered will differ based on each communitys needs, however, the objective of preparing communities for crisis response will remain the same.
Reminder that the communities Paawidigong serve are Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation, Eagle Lake First Nation, Wabauskang First Nation, Lac Seul First Nation and Lac De Mille Lac First Nation.
