About this service
The Objectives of the Cree Language Program are:
- To Create an environment which support Cree Language learning for all ages in the community and all of the staff of Ininew Friendship Centre.
- To Work with community partners to create possible opportunities to learn the Cree language.
- To Engage interested learners through Adult Cree classes.
- To Provide translation services to clients in coordination of other program staff.
- To Provide cultural awareness training at schools with collaboration with Cree Language Curriculum.
- To Increase promotion of and learning of Cree Language in the Ininew community.
