About this service
We provide short term assistance only until a client can find a longer term solution. Clients are typically low income families and individuals either working or on WSIB or EI and are not covered by social service programs or other medical insurance plans.
In emergencies, we can sometimes assist immediately, but you may be referred to another social service agency or we may apply for assistance on your behalf.
Advice is provided on how to obtain longer term assistance and how to access other programs.
Emergency Medical and Dental Services:
- Prescription Drugs: Life sustaining prescription medications, pain medications, antibiotics, methadone etc
- Dental: Dental work or extractions to address painful or infected teeth.
Non Emergency Medical / Dental Services
