About this organization
Durham Christian Homes was established and incorporated in 1983 as an interdenominational organization to provide housing for seniors in Durham Region. We received permission in 1986 from The Ontario Ministry of Housing to build and operate a seniors residence.
The planning and financial support for the establishment of Durham Christian Homes as a Christian seniors residence was initiated with tremendous input and financial support from members of the local Reformed Churches.
Today we are very grateful for their determination and vision as we serve residents in two residential towers and a large community centre.
Providence Place, was completed in 1988
Tekoa Manor was completed in 2002.
Friendship Hall, the community hub, connecting Providence Place and Tekoa Manor, was completed in 2003.
