About this service
Because a healthy mind and a healthy body go hand in hand, we provide our clients with many opportunities to be active and to cultivate new interests, as they learn to build a new healthy lifestyle for themselves.
Because of drug abuse, many Portage clients had abandoned activities or pastimes that they once loved. Having the opportunity to get back into them, they re-learn how to have fun and how to enjoy life without needing drugs.
Activities vary by centre, but include:
- Team sports
- Yoga, martial arts, hiking, biking, etc.
- Art, music, dance
- Cooking workshops
- Community outings - museums, camping, community events, etc.
Who can use it?
Ontario youth with a drug addiction problem.
