About this service
Two of our family doctors at Two Rivers provide complete obstetrical care for low-risk patients. This includes prenatal care in office, delivery in hospital, and post-natal care both in hospital and in office. The family medicine approach to pregnancy supports natural pregnancy and childbirth, but also has the ability to provide epidural analgesia and TOLAC (trials of labour after caesarian section) as well as to deal with medical issues outside of pregnancy. Having a family doctor as your birth attendant promotes holistic care through long-term relationships and keeps communication between your primary care provider and our lactation consultant open as well.
