About this service
At the beginning of Lord's Day Masses, we are welcomed by a Lector who reads an introduction. During Mass, Lectors proclaim Gods message in the Old Testament and Epistle. They also read the Intercessory Prayers which follow the homily; and before the final blessing, they read any announcements. To truly proclaim involves practise and prayerful consideration of the Sunday readings so that they are delivered with clarity and understanding.
