About this service

Program Description and Design: A program that assists in the development of social skills and social problem-solving strategies, while also promoting self-esteem and self-advocacy in a supportive environment. The aim of the program is to encourage friendship, positive social/emotional behaviours, active listening, effective communication, and understanding of social norms.

These skills will be taught through group discussion, play-based activities, team building games, and role-playing, and children will benefit from working together with other children that have similarities to them

Who is the program designed for? Children diagnosed with a Learning Disability and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) who may avoid social contact, behave immaturely, be shy or timid in groups, frequently fight with peers, display a lack of self-esteem and self-confidence, and enjoy meeting other children with LD and/or ADHD
