BCC - Junior's Program

At Brant, our senior toddlers (about 2 to 2 1/2 years) are called Juniors. The major development in the Juniors Program is an increased emphasis on language and fine motor skills.

We introduce our Learning to Read Program through letters and sounds. We understand the value of starting phonetics at an early age.

In Juniors, we do an assortment of fine motor activities so that children can explore with their hands and fingers. They get to know their right hand from their left and the concepts of top to bottom and left to right. Basic mathematics is introduced through shapes and building activities. Science is all about exploring ones environment the classroom, the school, the playgrounds and the community through local walks. Juniors is a wonderful age. It is when toddlers become little boys and little girls, eager to explore the much larger environment that begins to open up to them.
