About this service
We offer a program that teaches adults with a developmental disability the literacy and life skills that would contribute to greater independence at home, work, and in the community. Our program is unique because we work on the principle that skills taught need to be practiced in a real-life context so that it becomes relevant and meaningful for real-life purposes.
The individuals eligible for classes are adults 19 years of age and older with a mild to moderate developmental disability. The adult must be physically self-sufficient and independent. They must want to learn and be able to benefit from instruction.
