About this service

The CANADIAN PRENATAL / POSTNATAL NUTRITION PROGRAM (CPNP) is a federally funded program which targets the population of at risk Aboriginal children 0-6 months and their families. The first consideration is always the health and well-being of off-reserve Aboriginal mothers and babies. Doing what is best for the child(ren) is what lies at the heart of this program and seeks to actively involve children, parents, families, community members and service providers in every aspect of this program. Decision-making and actions taken must be community-based.
