About this service
The house is staffed by counsellors who offer one-on-one assistance to residents in the development of individualized plans to meet their specific needs, in the areas of self-care, community, education, access to resources. Enhanced programming components are holistic and address the social context of a womans life and target those areas that are criminogenic factors in her criminal behaviour. Targeted areas include, but are not limited to: womens substance abuse, violence awareness, sexual abuse, fraud and theft intervention, living skills and assertiveness training, employment readiness, anger management, building self-esteem and financial management.
