About this organization
The Alumni Committee is now connecting with graduates to engage them in mentoring and training youth. Several L.E.A.D graduates now in college, university and the workforce joined the class in the fall to connect one-on-one with the new participants. Sharing valuable experiences to encourage and train the students. Our seniors program this year also provided visits to seniors in the community and in retirement homes. We will be launching a seniors i-connect program to have youth assist the seniors with ipads and computer communication skills. The Directors of the organization will be assisting with youth driven projects in the community and will engage in cultural diversity awareness education initiatives within the Peel and York Region school boards.
