About this service
The Behavioural Supports Transition Unit (BSTU) is a division of Quinte Health Care, located at Belleville General Hospital. The program is designed to aid senior adults living with dementia or age-related cognitive impairments and troubles, focusing on stabilizing behaviors and transitioning patients to an ideal home setting. The 20-bed inpatient program is dedicated to following a person and family-centered care approach, individualized treatment and care plans, and a clinical learning environment for health practitioners. Referrals are done through the person's CCAC Care Coordinator or by calling 310-2222. Typically, patients will stay in the BSTU for about 90 days.
