The QCTC's FASD Support Program is a child and youth-centric initiative designed to provide support to children and youth diagnosed or suspected of having Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). The program also aims to educate the community about the condition and facilitate the inclusion and stability of affected children and youth in various areas, including the family, school, and general community life. It supports individuals from birth to 18 years, or until they leave high school, and specifically caters to residents of Hastings/Prince Edward or Northumberland Counties. The role of the FASD Coordinator is to develop a strengths-based plan, build capacity through education, and connect affected children, families, and service providers to appropriate interventions and support structures. Please note, this is not a diagnostic service.
