About this service
This program provides education and counseling primarily to individuals involved in the court process. PAR operates under the definition of abuse that includes not only physical contact, but verbal and emotional abuse, intimidating behavior, threats, destruction of property, and monitoring/harassing behavior. PAR is a component of Ontario's Domestic Violence Court Program and is funded by the Victim & Vulnerable Persons Division of the Ministry of the Attorney General. People can attend PAR voluntarily or as part of a court order. A participant registration fee of $100 is payable by the first class. PAR aims to enhance the safety of intimate partners and hold offenders accountable for their behavior.
