About this service
The Community Visions & Networking Quinte Association provides support and services to over 85 adults with developmental disabilities. The association helps these individuals to utilize their Passport funding, assisting them to find the right support worker to meet their needs and ensuring they receive reimbursement for their purchases. It adopts a person-directed approach, meaning the individual's needs and wants direct the provision of services. Planning for future direction includes input from family, friends, and employees. The association also provides independent living services, with a custom-tailored approach to community services. This may include, among other things, assistance with education, employment, personal care, medication, and recreational activities. The association operates on a 24-hour basis to meet individual needs at an additional level of care. The association employs 4 full-time coordinators for a variety of roles including interviewing, planning, crisis management, and more, as well as 30 part-time community workers. This allows for a flexible and tailored support model.
