About this service
We focus on the unique employment challenges of people who are Deaf or hard of hearing. We can also address the needs of people with literacy challenges and deaf immigrants whose first language is not English or ASL. Our experienced employment consultants communicate in the language of your choice and provide: - job search challenges related to hearing loss - career planning - rsum and cover letter services - leads and referrals - preparing for interviews - arranging an interpreter or live translation of speech to text (CART) for your interviews - support on the job We have expertise in counseling, technology, and workplace accommodation to help you succeed at your job. We can work with you and your employer to: - find assistive technology and communication devices such as TTYs (text telephones) - identify and implement appropriate workplace accommodations for a barrier-free work environment - offer communication workshops to your co-workers - help find solutions to communication barriers - Employment resource centers
