About this service
If you have a hearing loss, we offer free counseling services to help you improve communication with family and friends, stay involved in social activities, and remain safe and independent at home. Who we serve: - Priority given to people 55+ years living with a hearing loss. - Younger adults (19+) with other challenges as well as hearing loss who require home-based services. Information and counseling services are provided by hearing care counselors in an accessible environment. We provide you, your family, and other caregivers at your home or residence with information and counseling related to coping with hearing loss such as: - Understanding your hearing loss - Use, care, and maintenance of hearing aids and other listening systems - Preparing for and managing difficult listening situations - Selecting specialized communication equipment such as telephones, alarm clocks, and television accessories - Referrals to other community services
