About this service
Belleville Transit offers a service called the Mobility Bus, providing on-demand door-to-door transportation for individuals with disabilities who may have challenges using the fixed-route transit system. The service is accessible and takes into account various factors, including the distance to an accessible bus stop, an individual's ability to navigate the transit system, and the ability of conventional transit buses to accommodate various mobility or assistive devices. To use the service, individuals must apply and be approved, after which they'll receive an Identification Card for booking rides. The bus can accommodate wheelchairs and scooters and operates seven days a week. Additionally, passengers may travel with a support person or companion, and guide dogs and service animals are permitted on the buses.
