About this service
The Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) at Quinte Health Care provides comprehensive, community-based psychiatric treatment, rehabilitation, and support to individuals with complex, serious, and persistent mental illnesses that cause significant functional impairments. The team includes mental health professionals, therapists, social workers, and other specialists who work on a client-centered, recovery-oriented approach promoting self-determination, empowerment, and choice. ACTT helps clients achieve personal goals and live as independently as possible in the community. The services are designed for adults aged 18-65 years with long-term psychiatric disabilities. The clients are often provided with assistance in housing, education, employment opportunities, life skills, and community integration. Direct client services are available daily, seven days a week, and include emergency after-hours on-call system.
