FIXED FUR LIFE

Fixed Fur Life (FFL) is a charitable organization established in January 2004, aimed at assisting homeless animals. It utilizes 100% of all donations for veterinary expenses such as spaying, neutering, vaccinations, and medical emergencies. The organization aids low-income families by subsidizing the costs to spay and neuter pets. They do not euthanize any animals, instead providing foster homes until they are adopted. All of the animals the organization takes in are spayed or neutered before being adopted out. FFL receives no government funding; it relies on volunteer work, donations, and the support from the local community. Adopted animals are also taken care of until they find permanent homes thanks to the cooperation of local businesses. Lastly, the organization works with all veterinarians in the Quinte Area to provide the best care possible, and they attest to making a significant difference in controlling pet overpopulation.
