About this organization
Support group meetings assist individuals facing life with gastrointestinal or urinary diversions. These meetings, organized by a volunteer-based organization, provide emotional support, instructional services, and information through membership, family, caregivers, and the general public. Professionals like enterostomal therapist nurses, physicians, pharmacists, and dietitians may give presentations at the chapter meetings. Additionally, representatives from ostomy product manufacturers or suppliers may also present. The meetings take place at Loyalist College, Pioneer Building room P10, at 2 pm on the second Sunday of each month from September to June. However, please note that in October and May, the meetings are held on the first Sunday. To apply, simply call; no referral is required. This service is available for individuals with ostomies as well as their caregivers and family members. If transportation is needed, please contact the Chapter to make arrangements.
