About this service
What differentiates us from other methadone treatment recovery clinics is that at TRC, our philosophy is to encourage the active involvement of our pharmacist in the MMT program. This interaction is a key to our patients success. Clinics have an onsite pharmacies and trained pharmacy staff to help monitor the supervised dispensing of the daily methadone dose or dispense carries. Our pharmacists also provide several other value added services as directed by physicians. Providing counseling on other medications, ensuring the right balance of medication, and working with the physician will improve the patients overall health. We encourage patients to have their daily doses at the onsite pharmacy and spend time with the pharmacist or pharmacy technicians in case they have questions about any concurrent medication, which they might be taking. Patients are also free to choose a pharmacy of their choice but past experience and studies have indicated that an onsite Pharmacy delivers better overall treatment control and program results. That includes improved compliance and efficacy of therapy as well as greater confident and privacy for patients
