About this service
he Surgery Program at RVH consists of 10 operating rooms, endoscopy suites, cystoscopy and Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio-Pancreatography services. The surgeon's office will book your surgery you will the receive a pre-surgery screening phone call to help determine if you require an in-person or phone consultation with a nurse and anaesthesia pre-surgery treatment clinic screening will occur phone call day before to confirm your arrival time to Surgery Preparation- day of surgery you will arrive and be prepared for your surgery in the Surgery Preparation area you will be escorted to the Operating Room moved to the Post Anesthetic Care Unit (PACU) and if being admitted you will be transferred to your inpatient surgery unit, if going home, you will continue your recovery in Post Anesthetic Care Unit Phase 2 (PACU 2).
