ParaMeds Social Workers are focused on the welfare of individuals and families. Our Social Workers use their skills to help others live happy, more effective lives. At ParaMed, we have expertise working with seniors. Our Social Workers help find solutions for older adults and families that address the personal, social, and environmental challenges that come with aging. Our main priority is maintaining and enhancing the quality of life for you and your loved one. This may include developing an understanding not only of the physical complications of aging, but mental health, cultural barriers, and organizational challenges faced by the older adult. We help older adults remain at home as long as possible and can assist in coordinating discharge planning from hospital to home. ParaMed Social Workers also conduct home visits to ensure our clients are safe, healthy, and thriving in their environment. ParaMed Social Workers may provide therapy for an elderly client who feels lonely or who is suffering depression or anxiety. Our Social Workers can also act as a link between our clients and the numerous public and private programs designed for the aging. ParaMed Social Workers also help clients apply for appropriate services. They can also help sort out any problems in the delivery of these services.
