About this service
Empower Simcoe provides a number of accommodation options for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Levels of support range from 24 hours support to 4 hours per week. Group Living and Supported Independent Living supports are located in both the cities of Orillia and Barrie as well as in surrounding areas. A number of the group living options are accessible. Through the use of the Personal Outcome Measures people are supported to make informed choices, increase levels of independence, and to be connected in their communities. Participation in household responsibilities is encouraged as is remaining connected to families and friends. In addition to long-term accommodations, Empower Simcoe also provides respite opportunities for families.
