About this service
Highland Shores Children's Aid Society offers various parenting programs targeted at increasing the quality of care given by parents or caregivers. The Parent Enrichment Program is a 12-week program for service recipients that provides help with developing parenting skills, including routine establishment, budgeting, home maintenance, and attachment principles. The society also offers the Triple P (Positive Parenting Program), which provides easy-to-implement solutions to existing parenting problems and helps prevent the emergence of future issues. Highland Shores works in conjunction with Mohawk Family Services and the Alderville First Nation to extend their reach to more families. Other programs include the Helping Hands Prenatal Program and the Families First program, which provides stronger support to families with developmentally delayed children.
