About this organization
HOME AGAIN is a volunteer organization that re-homes cats and dogs that, for a variety of reasons, people can no longer keep. We do this important work by: - Veterinary check and treat the pet, including vaccinations and neuter/spay if the pet is old enough. - Placing the pet in a volunteer's home to foster until adoption. - Pictures and stories of these animals are put on our website and linked to Petfinder.com. - A weekly advertisement called "The Cat Corner" is placed in the Bancroft Times newspaper. - Posters of some of these animals are posted at Pet Valu in Bancroft. - Home Again Facebook describes pets available, as well as pets gone missing, pets found, and pet advice from other pet activists. HOME AGAIN is the only organization in this extensive rural region attempting to find homes for the many unwanted cats and kittens in the area. We are a small organization with a small budget, but we know that we are helping to alleviate some of the area-wide problems of unwanted cats. All adult animals will have been spayed/neutered before adoption. Funding comes from donations, our volunteers raise funds, and adoption fees.
