About this service

My Sister's Place Second Stage Housing Program operates with a spirit of co-operation between residents and volunteers working together. The Second Stage Housing Program provides affordable, one bedroom apartments for a period of 6 months for a women and their child who have experienced woman abuse in their lives. This time period may be extended up to 364 days, with the written agreement of the Second Stage Housing Manager. At the Second Stage Housing Program, you will experience a safe, non-judgemental environment with outreach and support staff available by appointment. Residents are encouraged to connect with the many community agencies and organizations that can assist with employment, educational upgrading, retraining, childcare, and securing long-term affordable housing.
