About this service
The Government of Nunavuts Poverty Reduction division has two principal roles. The division provides administrative support to meet the requirements of the Collaboration for Poverty Reduction Act. This support includes serving on the secretariat to the Nunavut Roundtable for Poverty Reduction and assisting with the implementation of the Five Year Poverty Reduction Action Plan.
The division also is responsible for homelessness initiatives programs. These programs provide support to non-profit organizations operating emergency homeless shelters, and small financial contributions to community organizations undertaking initiatives to address homelessness.
